Mother to Child Transmission of HIV |
| In Malawi, 40,000 babies are infected annually through Mother to Child Transmission. The majority of these babies die before their second birthday due to absence of treatment. This accounts for approximately 40% of all new HIV infections every year in Malawi.

98,000 women in Malawi are in need of access to Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission treatment immediately. Funding is urgently required for this treatment and for assistance with medical infrastructure and human resources.
